Repeated intro
Hey Word Warriors,
Extracted changes
- Gameplay
We wanted to give you an early look at some big changes coming to Write Warz next week. This update leans harder into the party-game energy we’ve been shaping the game toward.
Voting Phase Rework (Coming Next Week)
Transparency update:
We’ve revamped the voting phase to better fit the fun, social party-game vibe Write Warz has been evolving into.
At the end of each voting round, you’ll now see:
Who wrote each sentence
Where every vote went
This adds more reactions, personality, and yes… occasional drama (the fun kind).
Tiebreakers (Big Change)
Tiebreakers have always been something we wanted to improve. Previously, ties triggered another voting round, which took extra time and rarely changed the outcome.
So we rebuilt it.
Now, whenever there’s a tie, we merge the tied sentences together into one brand-new sentence that pulls as much as it can from each entry.
It’s faster, funnier, and leads to some truly ridiculous results.
Six-way ties get wild.
Faster End-of-Round Flow
We’ve rebuilt the end-of-round point distribution to be quicker and better aligned with party-game pacing.
Less waiting. More playing.
Fonts & Readability
We see you squinting and leaning way too close to the screen. That’s not ideal for a writing-based party game.
We’re reworking:
Fonts
Writing areas
Overall readability
Everything will be larger, clearer, and easier to read.
New Animated Tutorial
A brand-new animated tutorial is on the way.
When a game starts, the tutorial will play automatically.
The host can skip it if everyone already knows what they’re doing.
Roadmap Highlights
February 5–9
Steam’s Typing Fest, where Write Warz will be featured.
Expect discounts and the voting rework to be live by then.
Late February – March
Mobile and web support is almost here.
One player hosts on PC
Everyone else joins from any web-enabled device
Most of the game is playable on mobile/web
Mini-games won’t be supported in phase one. If a mini-game triggers while you’re on a web device, the AI will step in for you. As the game grows, we plan to expand mobile support further.
March and Beyond
Elves vs Samurai
Bumbly’s Rockin’ Adventure
These will wrap up Early Access and define the full base game. We’ll share more details closer to launch.
Art Contest February 1st - 28th
We’re hosting our first art contest soon.

The winning submission will:
Be added to the game
Have the artist’s name added to the credits
More details soon.
