Announcing Global Improvements to Volkolak: The Will of Gods
Hello everyone! Since our early access launch, we’ve been actively reviewing your feedback and making iterative adjustments. One of the most requested areas was animation quality — particularly how it impacts the game’s visual cohesion and play experience.
We’re excited to share that we’ve completely re‑animated the protagonist, bosses, and enemies. Over 1 000 frames have been revised, resulting in smoother motion and clearer attack windups. These changes also ripple into the combat system:
Parry and dodge mechanics have been refined for better timing feedback.
Combo sequences now feel more responsive and fluid.
With this foundation in place, we can now focus on new content. Chapter 2 is in production, and significant progress has already been made.
Upcoming improvements include:
• Fully revised animation sets across all characters.
• Full voice acting for the The Darkest Gift expansion.
• A combat balance pass to fine‑tune mechanics.
• Remappable controls for personalized input schemes.
