Welcome back, Scribes! We've got a crisp, clean, Interlude Patch to sweep you off your feet- Brushing Up!
Wield a Broom with Bristle: a melee/ranged hybrid Generator Spell, utilize Tension: a new Teal Keyword, employ fresh new Combo Pages of Power, and more in today's update!

New Spell: Bristle - Dust & Echoes
Whisk damaging motes at the Torn from afar, then charge brazenly into close quarters combat with Bristle!
This new melee-focused generator enters the spellbook with a unique, hybrid approach; casting Bristle normally will launch a Precise Ranged Attack, but Holding the spell will transform it into a potent Sweeping Area Attack!
The inspiration for this new spell came directly from the community's interest in another melee spell approach. Thank you so much for your suggestions and enthusiasm; we look forward to hearing what you think!
New Pages of Power - Stronger Together
Discovery continues to fuel the heart of Vellum; unlocking and combining fresh powers in unique ways and watching the chaos unfold never fails to excite us!
In Brushing Up, we're introducing a Teal Keyword: Tension and a host of specific Combo Pages of Power! We've also sprinkled in some new pages for Unfold, Vault, Circulate, Foreshadow, Spoil, Draw, and Clatter!
Between Bristle, Combos, Tension, and the new powers for existing spells - this updates adds over 40 Pages of Power!
Combo Pages
Being in the right place at the right time is great - but having specific Inks and Spells crashing together to offer dynamic, potent Pages will boost your Scribes to newer heights of strength!
We won't spoil too much here, but go try some of your favorite combinations of Spells and Ink to uncover these pages with unique interactions (like detonating Eclipse Planets)!
Teal Keyword: Tension
Between the interwoven plates of Plot Armor and Plot Threads grows an increasing Tension! Wield Tension-granting Pages of Power to boost the damage of your Plot Twists - further turning your defense into the greatest offense!
Raid, Boss, and Other Adjustments
We're making some Raid tuning to Yonder based on feedback and internal discussions!
Our goal is to address mechanical timings and overlaps so that the "gameplay test" that is meant to be grabbing your attention at any given moment is having its appropriate spotlight time. This should rebalance some of the difficulty of dealing with Horizon on Hard Mode!
The Ouroboric Court has also seen some adjustments to similarly allow a bit of extra breathing room!
