What is Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Rageborn?
Set in the supernatural horror universe of Werewolf: The Apocalypse, Rageborn is a brutal top-down metroidvania where players become a Garou — one of Gaia ’s legendary werewolves — in a desperate war against the corrupt megacorporations. As the world decays under the influence of the Wyrm, players will explore a dark and interconnected wilderness, shifting seamlessly between 3 forms to survive, hunt, and unleash devastating fury in combat. Each form serves a unique purpose:
Homid for precision, interacting with the human world, and speaking
Lupus for speed, stealth, and tracking prey
Crinos for savage close-quarters destruction fueled by Rage

Combat in Rageborn is built around momentum, aggression, and transformation. Rage grows as battles intensify, allowing players to enter devastating frenzy states capable of tearing through enemies — if they can maintain control. Players will battle horrifying Wyrm-corrupted enemies pulled directly from Werewolf: The Apocalypse lore, including Banes, Fomori, twisted spirits, and other supernatural threats spreading corruption across both the physical world and the Umbra spirit realm. Beyond combat, Rageborn embraces the themes at the heart of the World of Darkness universe: rage, identity, spirituality, and the fight to protect a dying world. As a Garou, players are not simply monsters — they are warriors chosen to defend Gaia against forces consuming the planet from within. With fast-paced action, shapeshifting and a world steeped in supernatural horror, Werewolf: The Apocalypse – Rageborn delivers a feral new take on the metroidvania genre.
Meet Taylor
Taylor didn’t ask to become part of this war. But once the veil is torn away, there’s no going back. Caught between the human world and the spirit wilds, Taylor must learn what it truly means to become Garou — and decide how far he’s willing to go to protect Gaia from the coming collapse.
Gaia. The Wyrm. The Hunt.
In the world of Werewolf: The Apocalypse, the Earth itself is alive in Gaia, the Mother Goddess. To protect the balance of nature, Gaia created the Garou — werewolves who serve as her fangs and claws against the forces that would corrupt or destroy the world. But that balance has been shattered. Gaia is dying… or perhaps already dead, consumed by her endless war against the Wyrm. The Wyrm — a cosmic force of corruption and destruction — feeds on humanity’s greed, violence, and unchecked ambition, twisting them into something monstrous. Its influence spreads through polluted cities, corrupted spirits, and the megacorporation Lethe Labs. Now, the fight is no longer just for survival. It’s for the soul of the world.
