We will create a DLC and continue the story in the form of Nellie’s Diary

After the release of The Witch In The Woods, we received a lot of feedback. Many players who enjoyed our game felt that the story should have a continuation.

When we originally developed this game, we intended to tell only the story of Nellie's time in the Greywind Forest and the nearby towns. It focuses on the period when she meets the Witch Vanessa, a period of time that is enough to change her thoughts and her destiny. As for what comes after, we initially believed that an open-ended conclusion would be better, leaving the rest to the players’ imagination. The game was indeed made according to this plan.

However, after the game’s release, many players felt that the story was incomplete, and they hoped for a continuation. Not only in the comments, but also through private messages, we received ongoing requests for a sequel or whether the rest of the story would be developed. We believe that players’ feelings and perspectives can be more accurate than us who developed the game. Since many of you feel that the story should continue, we think it’s worth completing what comes next and how it ends in some way.

After considering all the feedback, we have decided to create a DLC and continue the story in the form of Nellie’s diary. We plan to cover what happens after both the A and B true endings, so there will be two separate diaries representing two different timelines.

The diaries won’t be as detailed as the main story and have limitations, but we hope they can complete the story in a relatively simpler way, so that players who enjoyed the game and are interested in what comes next can feel that the story is whole.

We will share updates later once the development the DLC reaches a certain stage.
