It's here...it's done. Finally after working on this update on and off for 10 years, it's in a state I can finally say it's finished. Ever since we released it I had wanted to do a 'director's cut' of the game. Stuff I felt could be better. Every couple of years I would manically work on it for a couple months. Updating, tinkering, optimizing. I thought this patch would have come out a LONG time ago. Then realizing it was almost 10 years...it felt like the perfect time. If you played the game when it came out or are experiencing for the first time, I'd love to hear your thoughts! This game is near and dear to my heart. Still incredibly proud of we did all those years ago. And now it's in a much tighter package.
And if by any miracle this game finds a wider audience - I'd be open to telling more stories about these wonderful characters. But for now I'm happy that this chapter is complete. - Eric

The Song of Seven: Overture - 2.0 Patch Notes
Gameplay
Puzzles have been made much clearer. (I hope :D)
And I added a game guide inside the options menu if you get stuck
Quick Time Events now provide audio and visual feedback on both successful and missed inputs
Time slows during QTE prompts for a more cinematic feel
Improved character pathfinding across all scenes — characters navigate more reliably and get stuck less frequently (again hopefully no more getting fully stuck)
Added a ton of flavor text across the whole game
Cut down some of the more verbose scenes to improve overall game flow
Sharper transitions between actions and scenes
Kiba moves his head when looking at objects
Unity Engine Version Update
Shader / Fmod Warmup
Controls & Input
Controller auto-detected on connect and disconnect — no restart required
Cursor behaviour updated correctly when switching between keyboard/mouse and controller
Audio
Reduced first-play audio latency — sound effects should trigger more consistently throughout the game
QTE audio feedback — lyre notes play on correct and missed inputs
Visual
Lighting / Visuals overhaul (For those who have played the original game, the village is noticeably less vibrant than before. This was an intentional change to add more contrast from outside of the village)
Added Cloud shadows system
Smoothed out camera process for extra buttery gameplay (paired with higher refresh rate feels NIICEEE)
Subtitles reposition to the bottom of the screen when the speaking character moves off-screen
Settings
First launch automatically detects and applies the best resolution and refresh rate for your display
Frame / Refresh rate control added to graphics settings (30 / 60 / 120 / 144hz)
4K Resolution Support (Open to adding more if requested)
Bug Fixes
Fixed pathfinding issues that were more pronounced in builds than in development
Fixed camera jitter during character movement
Fixed cursor visibility when pausing and returning to gameplay with a controller
Fixed options menu not correctly saving and restoring all graphics settings
Fixed various audio issues
Many, many more additional bug fixes (Like it would be impossible for me to list them all at this point lol)
