Aces High

One of the most common pieces of feedback we’ve gotten is that Aces feeling like the weakest card in the game just felt wrong. We agree.

Defence values now use Blackjack rules:

  • Number cards: face value

  • Picture cards (J, Q, K): 10 defence

  • Aces: 11 defence

This makes Aces feel powerful again, without dramatically changing overall balance.

Demons Found Their Voices (Sort Of)

A lot of you asked for some kind of audio feedback when enemies speak.

  • Enemies now make a sound when they talk

  • It adds a bit more personality and makes encounters feel less silent and awkward

No full voice acting, just enough to make Hell feel alive.

Fixes & Tweaks

  • Lust boss now correctly updates and displays Rage information

  • Speech text is now left-aligned, making dialogue much easier (and less annoying) to read

  • Dagger relic now triggers on a played card and has a value of 4 to 9 (inclusive).

    • With Blackjack values in play, odd/even rules were getting way too unclear
