Hi there prospectors,

Welcome to another update that introduces a new planet called Tyr; a water world planet with archipelagos, requiring boat travel to get from one island to another. If you have any feedback on how you're finding travel across the seas, we'd love to hear any suggestions that you have.

Thanks as always for the invaluable feedback and bug reporting and we hope you enjoy playing this update.

A new planet, Tyr

  • Planet Tyr is unlocked when the tutorial on Nibiru has been completed.

  • A world where a vast majority of the surface is covered by water.

  • The various biomes are made up of groups of relatively small islands.

  • It's possible to build a bridge if islands are close to each other.

  • Islands that are further apart require the building of seafaring Techs.

Quality of life improvements

  • More block information is shown when mousing over a block in the inventory;

    • Block's mass

    • Block's health

    • Power generation for structure generators

    • Power consumption for structure machines

    • Reactor capacity for cabs

  • The active objective now shows how far it currently is from the player.

  • The distance is also shown on the map above the purple active objective blob.

  • The list of objectives now shows the individual distances in metres from the player.

  • When setting an active objective, it's now possible to select completed objectives for locating traders and Bastions.

    • These will help the player to find locations previously discovered and gain access to known locations that can be teleported to.

Game balancing changes

  • The impact damage and knockback caused by Puffball plants have been reduced significantly.

  • Enemy respawn rate for normal difficulty has been reduced from 60 minutes to 25 minutes.

    • This should make it easier to earn money by destroying enemy Techs and selling off scavenged blocks.

  • When playing with Tech Block Crafting, the price for buying the recipes for the 3 basic boat blocks has been reduced.

  • The crafting recipes for the 3 basic boat blocks have been reduced as well.

  • The force that the tides apply pushing a Tech from the sea towards the land has been halved.

Bug fixes

  • The following bug should now be fixed in this update:

    • Planes in Creative mode are occasionally offset from their starting positions, causing some to be unexpectedly flipped.

    • Game sometimes crashes when fighting the boss Tech in the Arctic.

    • Some missing information about a Tech in the Tech snapshot screen was missing;

      • Reactor load title

      • Reactor capacity

      • Tech mass

    • A crate containing a Twitch drop reward may incorrectly appear during the initial tutorial and interacting with it will prevent the tutorial from being completed, but can be skipped,

    • Controller issues:

      • B button/O button doesn't close the pause menu.

      • Lots of the glyphs are missing in the control ribbon when in an inventory.

      • The player Tech stops moving in certain positions of the left thumbstick being between fully left/right and up.

Until next time, Prospectors!
