For the past few months, we've been focused on creating a brand-new vertical slice: polishing minigames, designing platforming levels, adding new dialogues, visuals and even multiple endings! The result? Over an hour of polished, playtested gameplay that we'll be building upon until release! Let's go deeper! ◝(ᵔᗜᵔ)◜
1. ⋆｡ﾟ☁︎｡⋆New Character & Midnight Hangout⋆ ☾ ﾟ｡⋆
Say hello to Bar Syberia, a neon-drenched location that only appears when the digital moon is high. It's the perfect place to unwind, dance and meet some strange new faces.
Like Cyra, a mysterious loner that might know a little too much about the world around... It's better to be on her good side, and she might just share her secrets. Or not.
2. (❀ˆᴗˆ) Make & Break Friendships (•́ᴗ•̀✿)
Your choices matter more than ever! Every character now has a relationships metric that changes depending on your choices and actions.
Answer a question wrong? Smash a window? Your loyal guide, Sparkles, will take a hit. But don't panic! Use your Fixer Tool to repair the damage, as long as you have recource...
Your gifts may heal, increase relationships and solve problems, so be keen not to miss them laying around. 𐙚⋆°Ⰶ｡⋆♡
3. ⋆｡𖦹° A Fish Story In My OS?!⋆｡˚ 𓆝
You read that right. Because what's a game without fishing? Take out pieces of the pong window with a fish you need to catch it, complete fishing quests and collect bounties.
Better yet, if you like a particular fish you can keep it as a pet on your desktop! Your new tamagotchi-like fish friend lives right on your OS. Name it, feed it, watch it poop... and yes, it can even be trained for a profession or meet a tragic end. Take good care of it!( ˘͈ ᵕ ˘͈♡)
4. 👾✮ ⋆˚｡𖦹 Minigames Overhaul: Break It Till You Make It ⋆｡°✩👾
All mingames were remade to better work with our core mechanic: window destruction and repair. Strategically breaking and fixing windows will now help you win more easily. This change makes every playthrough feel more creative, sandboxy, and rewarding. Think with portals, but with windows!
5. ⋆⁺₊🎮⃟.˚⋆ GDWC 2025 Finalist: Most Promising Game! ⋆˚.⃟🎮₊⁺⋆
We're thrilled to share that sprkls.exe has been selected as a finalist for"Most Promising Game" at the Game Development World Championship! This is a huge honor for our small team, and we're so grateful to everyone who has supported our glitchy digital world. Let's keep the momentum going!
