I wanted to share a quick developer update and give you a small look into one of the systems I’ve been working on lately (alongside many other things behind the scenes).
Lure Tool
I’m implementing a classic distraction mechanic similar to tossing a coin that lets you lure characters and enforcers to a specific location.
Once selected, you’ll be able to throw the item onto the ground. Any girl or agent who notices it will walk over and pick it up, allowing you to control their movement and create openings.
Here’s a quick video preview. It’s still early, but it shows the current progress.
Repel Tool
This works as the opposite of the lure tool.
By throwing bird seeds, a group of pigeons will gather and start feeding, causing nearby characters to move away from the area. This gives you a way to clear space or redirect movement when needed.
How This Fits Into Gameplay
These two tools are key for the first puzzle-driven mission I’m currently building.
In this mission, you’ll need to manipulate the environment and character positions to create the perfect setup, allowing you to capture a snapshot! of Luna in a specific “wet clothes” scenario.
