Hello everyone!
Some of you may know me as Jess, I used to work at PixelRift Studios, however with some changes in PixelRift Studios ownership of a few games are going to be transfered! Shattered Time is one of them.
With this upcoming change, I want to talk about a few things that will be coming to Shattered Time! First off...
Price Changes!
With the transfer, I looked over everything in Shattered Time, and made the decision that soon the price of the game will be changing from $9.99 USD to $4.99 USD (prices around the world will also change to reflect this change)!
With this change, if you buy Shattered Time at its current price ($9.99) before the price change, we're going to be talking with steam to give players access to the 3 upcoming DLCs for free. I will be in close talks with steam to try to get this all situated! Information about the upcoming DLC will be talked about later-on.
While I dont know when this change will be in effect, it will most likely be once everything has been finalized, and the new build of the game has been finalized. I will make sure to post an announcement a week in advance before the price change!
Visual Updates
Coming in the 1.1.0 update, I've been going over all the game's assets and updating them to try to make them look more visually pleasing! Such as updating the main character to reflect the game's official art closer.
Level & Mechanic Updates
After looking over the levels, some of the levels seem (including the earlier ones) seem a bit more difficult compared to some of the later ones, so I will be reducing the difficulty of the earlier ones, while increasing difficulty of later levels!
As well, I'm looking to tweak some mechanics in the game to hopefully reduce the time sitting around doing nothing.
Collectables
Coming in the 1.1.0 update there will be new cosmetics that you can apply to your character! Some may just change the player's skin, some may do that and changes your clone's skin, and possibly even the visual effects! As well, I'll be adding a new Collectable called "Cassettes"! This collectable can be played in the main menu, giving some lore about the world of Shattered Time!
Upcoming DLC
WIth the upcoming price changes, I've decided to try to add some DLC to compensate those who bought the game early, while allowing people who buy the game later to purchase the DLCs later-on to support my work on this game!
The upcoming DLCs are as following (PLEASE NOTE, PRICES AND NAMES ARE NOT FINAL) :
Founder Echo Skin ($0.99 USD): This skin will change everything about the player, the outfit, the face, the clones, the effects, AND the sounds!
Temporal Skin Pack 1 ($1.99 USD): This pack will contain 3 skins, more info about this skin pack will be released at a later time!
Early Echoes Level Pack ($2.99 USD): This Level Pack will contain a handful of levels that were planned early on or later on in development, but never made it into the final game!
Once again, as mentioned above, I'll be talking to steam about providing those who bought the game before the price change all 3 DLC at no additonal cost!
Closing Thoughts
I hope that with these changes that the community of Shattered Time will bloom and turn into an amazing community!
