Shadewalkers – Full Match Loop Is Now Playable (Development Update)
Hello everyone,
Shadewalkers now supports a complete, playable match from start to finish.
This is a major milestone: the core experience — tactical pressure, information warfare, and high-stakes decision-making in a horror setting — is now fully testable.
This post is a baseline snapshot of where we are today and what we’re building next.
What Shadewalkers Is
Shadewalkers is a tactical multiplayer horror where information is power and every decision has consequences.
Up to 6 players — 3 teams of 2 (2v2v2)
Third-person perspective
High difficulty and constant pressure
Japanese & English subtitles (subtitles only)
Your team must read the situation, outthink rival teams, and act under fear and uncertainty — because in Shadewalkers, hesitation costs lives.
Playable Now (End-to-End)
The core Shadewalkers experience is complete and functional:
Full match loop: Lobby → Match → Results → Back to Lobby
Objectives: Offering and Escape mechanics are fully playable
Items: 4 core items implemented (7 planned for the initial launch set)
Multiplayer: full 6-player matches with team-based play
You can finish a full round of Shadewalkers right now.
Currently Building
We’re expanding depth and improving clarity:
Remaining items (3): more tools focused on pressure, misdirection, and intel
Map expansion: stronger atmosphere, better tactical routing, and more variety
Player identity / profiles: clearer player presentation and match history tracking
Tutorial: a guided onboarding so new players can learn the flow without friction
Coming Next
After the current work, we’re adding:
Character selection: multiple character appearances (same mechanics; identity matters in a game of information)
Enhanced results screen: a clearer recap of key moments, decisions, and outcomes
These updates are aimed at making each match easier to read — and harder to master.

Next major step: Closed Alpha Test
We’ll invite players to test the full experience and provide feedback before moving toward Early Access.
We plan to share progress updates about once a week, focusing on meaningful milestones and player-facing improvements.
