❓ What is Road Kings? Road Kings is a next-gen truck simulation and a totally new IP set in the American South.
🎯 What’s the goal of the game? You start as a rookie truck driver and build your career by completing deliveries, managing jobs, trailers, and routes.
Along the way, you’ll face rival drivers, unpredictable weather, and even rescue communities in need. The ultimate goal: grow from employee to respected owner-operator and carve out your place as a true Road King.
🛣️ Is it connected to the MudRunner franchise? Unlike any games from the MudRunner franchise, which focus on off-road challenges, Road Kings puts you in the driver’s seat of powerful semis hauling heavy cargo across highways, cities, and rural areas. The game focuses on on-road driving exclusively.
⚙️ What are the main gameplay mechanics? Truck simulation at its core.
🚚 What types of vehicles will the players drive? Players will drive faithfully recreated branded trucks from Mack and International. More could come.
👥 Will there be multiplayer? There will be asynchronous multiplayer available at launch.
What this means: you won’t see other players driving on the roads in real time, and you cannot drive alongside them in-game What you can expect:
You can create your own public or private Company, or join an existing one as a Driver,
Company Bosses (decision-making players) can hire real players as Drivers to help grow the Company,
- All members work together to expand the Companychoosing available jobs, unlocking new clients, boosting reputation, potentially purchasing new trucks and trailers, etc.,
Companies can compete against each other via leaderboards, trying to maintain enough active Drivers to stay at the top of the list
🌐 Will there be crossplay? Yes, the asynchronous multiplayer is planned to be cross-platform.
🗺️ How many maps will be available at launch? One, as it’s a representation of South Georgia and North Florida. The game should benefit from live ops and the map will grow over time.
🕹️ How many missions will be available at launch? 10 hours of campaign, and infinite jobs available.
👤 Is the driver going to be seen? Choosable? Customizable? Hands and forearms will be seen and customizable.
🛠️ Will there be mods at launch? No mods.
💻 Which platforms will the game launch on? PC (Steam), PS5, and Xbox Series.
