Fellow exorcists!
The ones of you familiar with St. Benedict's medal in real life are wondering why the in-game inscription is V R D (instead of V R S from the real medal). We see this being asked many times.
The real medal says Vade Retro Satana (Begone Satan). In the world of Ritus Exorcismus, Satan is just one of 7 demons, so we changed the inscription to Vade Retro Daemonium (Begone Demon), to refer to any demon.
So, you are correct in pointing out that the inscription is "wrong", but the change is intentional to better fit the game's lore.
With all that said, some in-game books mentioned the real inscription instead of our own. Patch 1.0.3 fixes that and makes the inscription consistent everywhere.
