This is our last update for 2025 so hopefully everyone can enjoy Sandbox and the new content over the break. A big thank you again to everyone who helped us identify issues in 3.21 - especially members of our Risk Beta Discord.
While we’ve fixed most of the pressing issues with 3.21’s release, we’re aware there are a few outstanding - these are listed at the bottom. We will be pushing one more update ASAP next year when the studio returns from break.

Bugfixes
Rejoin/Reconnection issues:
A player rejoining should no longer cause other player turn timers to reset or change.
Rejoining a game can no longer cause other players’ turns to skip or be reverted.
Rejoining a game at the end of a turn will no longer cause a black screen.
Bots & botted out players should take their turns normally after a player rejoins.
Turn timers should not stop after a player rejoins.
Players should not be stuck ‘Waiting for Host’ when a player minimises and rejoins.
Other major:
Players should no longer be able to spawn multiple caps in Capitals Conquest.
Players should no longer be able to fortify multiple times in some instances.
Players that eliminate other players and need time for trades will now be granted an extra flat 30 seconds to their turn - a slight consistency update from the old logic which removed up to 30 seconds of elapsed time.
Fixed the calculation delay on blitz rolls.
Puck troop count labels should show up with the same size regardless of puck shape.
Bonus time for card trades is granted on player elimination, not on the card trade itself.
Sandbox modified continent bonuses should never carry into other game modes.
Minor:
More in-game tooltips account for Sandbox changes to rules.
Offers should no longer be able to duplicate themselves in the shop.
Fixed a bug where some users couldn’t purchase the Starter Pack.
Improved optimisation for large troop count Sandbox games on low end devices.
‘Failure to initialise’ errors on some older Samsung devices should no longer occur.
Fixed a visual glitch on the Exit Map Editor button in Sandbox.
MAPS+ offer should now show correctly in the offers section of the shop.
Closed an exploit where it was possible to create negative-value territory bonuses in Sandbox.
All Maps filters should apply immediately without needing to exit the screen.
Sandbox loading screen should be restored for mobile devices.
Türkiye map should now be searchable with unaccented letters: ‘Turkiye’, ‘Turk’, etc.
Ibailand removed from MAPS+ inclusions description (as it is a free map).
Removed the phantom ‘XXDFG’ game code visual glitch in private lobbies.
Sandbox tab should no longer show up in Ranked.
Sandbox filters should no longer show up in Ranked.
Favourited Sandbox maps will no longer show in the favourites section in Ranked.
Disabled the drumroll occurring on turn start.
Alliance requests should no longer share a single timer.
Cleaned up the crossroad connection in Sietch Tabr.
Territory Card trade-in recommendations will take into account Sandbox adjustments to make optimal trades.
In Pass & Play, rejoining the game will no longer remove the turn timer for other players
A player going MIA will no longer cause the next player to also receive an inactivity warning.
Known Issues
Major:
Purchasing Sandbox can still sometimes fail on Steam if you don’t have money in your Steam Wallet prior to purchase. We’ve reached out to Steam about this issue and have a workaround here.
