addedDear Project Heartbeat Community, We are pleased to announce that, effective today, Project Heartbeat is now part of Ubisoft. This acquisition represents a significant milestone made possible through the support of our new shareholders, whose vision has enabled a powerful strategic collaboration between Project Heartbeat and Ubisoft. Moving forward, Project Heartbeat’s proprietary engine will serve as the foundation for the development of new free-to-play mobile experiences in partnership with Ubisoft. To align with our shared standards for safety, inclusivity, and platform integrity, the following updates will be implemented:
removedArtwork featuring oriental cartoon-styled women will be removed from the base game and permanently prohibited across all user-generated content, including player avatars, Workshop items, and other in-game elements.
addedA mandatory age-verification system, developed in collaboration with our partners at Persona, will be introduced to ensure appropriate access for all players.
addedA comprehensive moderation framework will be added, enabling EIRTeam moderators to review installed songs—including local and editor-created content—to maintain a secure environment and prevent platform misuse. Multiplayer chat logs will also be stored and actively moderated to better protect our younger audience.
changedAdditionally, Project Heartbeat will transition to the Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Connect. To deliver a consistent experience across all platforms, Workshop support will be discontinued for every version of the game, including for existing owners.
removedWe are also excited to launch a dedicated Nintendo Switch edition. Due to the hardware constraints of the Nintendo Switch, the visualizer feature will be permanently disabled across all versions of the game to ensure fairness and optimal performance for every player.
