Ciao Pizza Managers!
Mamma mia! What a ride it’s been so far! Thanks to all of you who joined us during the Pizza Slice playtests and demo phases - our cozy little kitchen was buzzing with your feedback, energy, and love for pizza. We’ve read every comment, watched every clip, and yes, even laughed along when your pizzas turned out... a bit more avant-garde than expected. So, let’s talk about what you thought, what we learned, and what’s cooking next, shall we?
The Taste Test: Overall Flavor
Let’s start with the good stuff - the majority of you described Pizza Slice as a fun, positive, and even delicious experience… but you probably already know this by now thanks to our previous devlogs, so let’s move on to more juicy stuff!
By far your favorite part of the game - and ours too - was making pizzas. From experimenting with wild shapes (yes, the legendary triangle pizza!) to mixing ingredients and crafting your own recipes, this feature truly stole the show. By the way, imagine what could happen if one chef wasn’t enough... Two chefs, perhaps? But hey, let’s not get ahead of ourselves - more on that later on.
Of course, even the best restaurateur sometimes drop a tomato or two! You told us that the tutorial could be clearer and more helpful for new players. Point taken, just like with the case of a bit clunky sprint!
One thing you really loved was the freedom of choice Pizza Slice offers - making your own dough or buying a pre-made one, shopping when and where you want, and building pizzas your way. And speaking of freedom, quite a few of you asked for the ability to store pizzas in the fridge. Well, why not? It wasn’t possible in the demo, but we’re happy to confirm - in the full game, your pizzas can chill out (literally).
Many of you mentioned that while you love the game’s energetic, dynamic rhythm, sometimes it can get a bit overwhelming. We hear you loud and clear on this one!
Moving on, you adored Pizza Slice’s art style, and our artists couldn’t stop smiling after reading your comments. And the humor? You liked it too! After all, even the most serious chefs need a good laugh - especially when their pizza flies off the counter.
The Final Slice
Here’s a fun stat to end with - most of you spent more than 2 hours in Pizza Slice, and many cooked for over 5 hours! That’s some serious dedication!
We can’t thank you enough for helping us make Pizza Slice better with your feedback, enthusiasm, and ideas. You’ve helped us shape this game into something tastier, smoother, and even more fun - and we can’t wait to show you what’s next in our kitchen.
And now - the "what's coming next" part!
With all that feedback and the mountain of wonderful suggestions you’ve sent our way, our hands (and our counters) are full - and that’s exactly how we like it! We now have a clear vision of how to season Pizza Slice to perfection, bringing it closer to what you, our players, truly crave.
Co-op for even more fun
Perhaps the most requested - and hyped! - feature of all is… the co-op mode! Yes, you read that right - it’s happening! You and your friend will soon be able to co-cook, co-clean, co-shop, and co-succeed in the full version of Pizza Slice. We still have a few recipes to test and important
