We’ve got fantastic news: Pirates: Rogue’s Fortune runs beautifully on the Steam Deck! The adventure is smooth, immersive, and perfectly suited for sailing anywhere you go.
⚓ [Update – October 8, 2025] The native Linux version for Steam Deck is now fully functional! No more need for Proton! You can now set sail directly on your favorite Linux system and enjoy an even smoother, optimized experience.
💻 As a reminder, the Windows version is also available and runs perfectly through Proton Experimental for those who prefer it. If you need to enable it on your Steam Deck:
Open Settings ⚙️
Go to Compatibility
Check Force the use of a specific Steam Play compatibility tool
Select Proton Experimental
