In this update, the new character Nereia officially joins the game.
She is the last princess of the Merfolk, as well as a Knight who combines frontline durability with physical damage. Bright, confident, expressive, and always dressed to shine, Nereia brings a new wave to the battlefield with her core mechanic, Tidal Shield.
At the same time, Selanis receives a brand-new skin in this update. Inspired by her Desert Sorceress theme, this outfit reveals another side of her: mysterious, dangerous, and impossible to read.
【New Character: Nereia】
• Race: Merfolk
• Class: Tidecaller Priestess / Knight
• Birthday: August 12
• Height: 162 cm, around 210 cm including her full tail length
Nereia is the last princess of the Merfolk, but she is nothing like the quiet and graceful royalty you might expect.
She is cheerful, outgoing, carefree, and instantly familiar. The first time you meet her, she might already be chatting with you like an old friend. She is extremely confident in her looks and loves dressing up: shells, pearls, gold accessories, water-drop pendants, and a golden staff set with aquamarine are all part of her shining presence.
But do not let that bold smile fool you.
As a frontline Knight, Nereia is just as powerful in battle. She can withstand fierce enemy attacks while dealing steady and aggressive physical damage during her shield window.
【Core Mechanic: Tidal Shield】
Nereia's combat logic revolves around Tidal Shield.
After casting her skill, Nereia immediately gains 20 stacks of Tidal Shield for 10 seconds.
While Tidal Shield is active:
• Whenever she takes damage, 1 shield stack is consumed to completely negate that instance of damage
• After consuming a shield stack, Nereia gains a large basic attack damage multiplier increase
• Her attack speed increases
• Her attack range increases
• She enters a super armor state and cannot be knocked back
This gives Nereia extremely strong survivability against burst damage, while also turning her shield into an offensive window that lets her keep pressuring enemies from the frontline.
【Recommended Teams and Build Direction】
In PVE, we recommend prioritizing Attack Speed to maximize the basic attack enhancement triggered by Tidal Shield.
When paired with a character who provides Critical Rate bonuses, such as Celis, Nereia can deal very impressive physical burst damage against stationary bosses.
In PVP offense teams, Nereia can use her super armor to hold the frontline, effectively preventing enemies from breaking your formation and creating a stable damage environment for your backline.
In PVP defense teams, we recommend building around a Knight-focused lineup. Combined with the damage reduction provided by Knight formations and Nereia's own shield-based damage negation, she can significantly extend her time on the field and make it difficult for attackers to quickly break through.
【Leader Skill】
As a leader, Nereia's skill focuses more on helping the team quickly return to position and stabilize formation.
At Mythic quality, for 3 seconds after Nereia casts her skill, she provides the team with:
• 50% increased Movement Speed
• 20% increased Abnormal Status Resistance
This gives her solid value in teams that need to quickly reposition, re-engage, or stabilize the frontline rhythm.
【New Selanis Skin】
Selanis also receives a brand-new skin in this update.
This outfit is themed around the Desert Sorceress, combining golden ornaments, light clothing, and mysterious desert magic to create a dangerous yet alluring side of her. She remains elegant and cunning, with the same unreadable smile as ever.
Nereia is about to ride the tide, and Selanis has changed into a brand-new look.
