We’ve been in the lab, and the first results are here. Today’s update introduces MPL 2.0, a new Season Pass, and a significant shift in how we’re focusing our development to ensure the future stability of the game.
[dynamiclink href="https://youtu.be/y6MK4JhSHhs"] MPL 2.0: Build Your Dynasty
The Maximum Pro League is evolving. This update is the first step in a complete overhaul of our competitive online mode.
- The Badge SystemYou now have full control over your roster’s identity. We’ve introduced an all-new badge system that allows you to equip player cards with specific stat boosts. Whether you’re building a ground-and-pound powerhouse or a deep-threat vertical offense, your build choices translate directly to the field.
Summer Evolution: This is just the beginning. We have more updates coming to MPL 2.0 this summer as we continue to refine the competitive experience.

Season 6: Out of Bounds
While we’re focused on the mechanics, we’re also adding some new flair to the customization suite. Season 6 takes the game to the Space Dome, a new stadium orbiting Earth. You’ll find new futuristic uniform patterns and even a full astronaut suit in the rewards track.
It’s a change of pace for the off-season. Grab the gear, hit the orbit, and get back to the gridiron.
Sunsetting Support for Last-Gen Platforms
To make Maximum Football the game it needs to be on current hardware, we’ve made the tough call to sunset support for last-gen platforms to improve the on-field performance for the majority of our players.
What this means for Last-Gen players:
Access: You will still have full access to Exhibition, Gridiron, Team Customization, and the Store.
Online Play: Online matchmaking for Exhibition matches will now be limited to players on the same console to avoid technical conflicts with newer versions of the game.
Full Patch Notes
Beyond the big headlines, we’ve gone under the hood for a series of performance tune-ups and bug fixes. Here’s the full list of changes in this patch.
MPL 2.0
We’ve rebuilt the Maximum Pro League from the turf up. This is a fresh start for everyone.
- Clean SlateWe’ve removed all players from the old MPL system. Every user starts the new season with a base team of 13 players and 2 badges. Players who financially invested in their MPL 1.0 will receive more packs, connected to your investment level in MPL 1.0.
Reworked Rarity: We’ve renamed rarity levels to better reflect the gridiron: Rookie, Starter, Veteran, All-Pro, and Generational.
The Badge System: Badges are now live. These are collectible cards that boost specific player stats. Legendary badges even feature unique on-field VFX.
- Streamlined EconomyWe’ve simplified the card inventory. You can now sell players and badges directly for MaxCoins based on their rarity.
- Matchmaking & RewardsWe’ve improved search ranges and added a queue indicator that stays visible on all screens. Plus, every match in MPL or Exhibition now rewards 2000 MaxCoins , win or lose.
In-Match & Gameplay
Pre-Snap Intel: You can now see equipped badges on the field before the ball is snapped.
- Depth ChartTo keep the game flow tight, we’ve removed the ability to swap players mid-match via the Depth Chart.
- Injury RemovalWe’ve removed injuries from MPL and Exhibition to keep your best players on the field.
Store & Currency
New Packs: We’ve replaced the old pack system with Standard Packs and rotating Featured Packs (Badge, Offense, or Defense weighted).
