Hello Dreamers!
A quick thank you to everyone who played Magic Maho Dream Runner and gave us helpful feedback. Today, we wanted to give a brief update on the status and timeline for MMDR.

Quick History
We're a very small team of two, and to get to this point, we spend about 2 years building several vertical slice prototypes of MMDR. Each version took heavy consideration of feedback from online communities like Itch.io and our own personal communities. Our most recent slice proved really fun and full of potential for a small arcade-style experience with some potential to sprinkle the story.
We took this slice and built it out for Steam's Fall NextFest 2025 and have been so thankful for the wonderful people and communities who have checked out, wishlisted, played, and streamed MMDR. With little to no marketing, we were lucky enough to release and get the following in our first 5 months;
First 5 months
90,000 Impressions
17,000 Visits
1,200 downloads
200 wishlists
This, among the positive reviews, continues to give us excitement to release some small but full of love and quality.
Current State
Currently, we have been accepted to showcase MMDR at Fanime Convention 2026. We'll be in their gaming hall in San Jose, California. It will be a great opportunity to showcase a wonderful, cute little game to its potential audience to join in on the fun!

The Demo update should be reflected for Windows & Linux users, but not yet for Mac users (as we're waiting on borrowing the equipment needed to finish the port). We're also working on 3D printing some figures and printing some stickers to give away for people to play, beat, and follow MMDR. Alongside this, we're working on display stands, setting up equipment and making sure that the latest version players get to play has the best possible experience we can provide. We showcase in mid/end May, and then we return full attention to the product's full development. Here are some sneak peeks;
Next Goals
As we finish up the showcasing for FanimeCon26, Magic Maho Dream Runner will continue to be developed with a focus on Cute and Casual, with (light) Cinematics. We want players to be able to jump in easily and unwind, or make progress towards fun little goals. We have lots of hopes for the final version of the game, which inspired us to prepare a potential Kickstarter prior to releasing the full product.
⭐Thank you so much for being a part of our passion and love. We hope you have a wonderful day, and we will work hard to pause when possible and provide little updates here for you to read.⭐
💗Love,
-NiNo Studios Team
