Although Takahiko Tomikura is happily married to his beautiful wife Manami, he still can't shake the memories of his hometown, its ritualistic customs, and the dark seed they planted within him. Behind its calm country facade, the village of Shironawa hides a dark secret. Each summer, the whole village takes part in a special ritual dedicated to the local god, Kagachi-sama.
When Takahiko finally returns with his wife, they have no idea of the depravity that lies in store for them. Manami is soon educated in the local customs and participates in ever more degrading acts. Meanwhile, Takahiko is reunited with Ayaka, his first love.
