Repeated intro
Hey employees!
We’ve been getting a few questions about the style of the game and why we chose to go in this direction, so we’re back with another blog to chat to you all about the Art Design in the game.
So initially, we played around with a few style concepts. It was important that the art was readable, fit well with the office-style setting, and that the team actually liked it. Ultimately the 2000s style was the one that immediately caught everyone's interest.. It blends the skateboard-y feeling with the feeling of being an office worker during the 2000s, which probably sounds like the strangest blend of genres on paper, but it just made sense, as soon as we saw the first concepts we were hooked and the game evolved into what you see today.
Once this style was established, it quickly made sense to also design the menus to give that early 00s feel. We want the game to feel like coming home, turning on your Windows XP or Windows Millenium Edition OS, and blasting your friends to pieces.
Ultimately we are really pleased with the direction the game has taken, and we hope that it gives you some of that old school skate nostalgia while still feeling modern and fun!
It’s not long now until launch, so if you’re reading this and thinking it sounds like a good time, then please wishlist the game so you’ll be reminded on 31 March when it’s time to get stuck in!
Yours Chairingly, Team LMS
