The time has finally arrived! Prepare to embark and set sail to earn your shillings fighting for Britain, France and the newly introduced Spain or the Plundering Privateers. Age Of Sail is a major expansion for Holdfast, releasing for free as a show of thanks to our beloved community. It is a result of over a year's worth of work, completely reinventing the naval side of the game.
A Taste Of What's Here
Master the fleet and command 7 different vessels, including the brand new 8-Gun Corvette and 17-Gun Brig Sloop and crew the decks with a variety of classes with unique weaponry, tools and abilities. 15 entirely new maps have been introduced, and we've also undertaken some hefty reworks of legacy maps to bring them up to standard.
Ram and board enemy vessels and battle on crowded decks for supremacy in some total naval warfare. Ship damage has also been entirely reworked to now include full repairing mechanics and resource management. Be sure to put every crew member to work to keep the ship afloat.
As always with any Holdfast update, at the core is the community and roleplay features, and Age Of Sail certainly has plenty. From the new accordion sea shanty karaoke system, gestures, ship orders and the ability to now play custom songs on instruments. All this truly brings an unforgettable naval experience.
Something Even Bigger Is Coming!
We've once again managed to fish out a rather cryptic letter that appears to be quite old. Judging by what we've managed to figure out, if you thought this update was big, just remember... there's always a bigger fish.
