Repeated intro
Hello, officer! In this segment, we explore the real expectations players have for a modern police game and how we turn them into fully functional systems in HPS. We move away from vague ideas and focus on gameplay mechanics that genuinely impact how the game feels and plays.

Every system in HPS begins with one question: what do players truly expect? It is not just about a list of features, but about creating an experience that feels cohesive, engaging, and gives players a sense of control over the situation. Only then do we design the gameplay systems around those expectations.
Players primarily expect dynamic and responsive real-time combat that goes beyond simple clicking. They also want exciting pursuits that are not repetitive, but evolve depending on road conditions and the unfolding situation. On top of that, progression systems and support mechanics should have a meaningful impact on how operations play out.
How do we deliver that?
In HPS, each of these areas receives its own dedicated solution. Combat is built around a unique suspect pacification system using police equipment, where control and escalation matter more than brute force.
Pursuits are designed around a drag & race chase system, giving them rhythm, intensity, and unpredictability often missing from similar games. Meanwhile, station progression is tied to an upgrade tree that directly affects available capabilities and playstyle.
Field support is not just an extra feature. The police dog acts as an active gameplay element, assisting the player in critical moments and expanding operational possibilities.
All of these elements form an integral part of a gameplay model that gives players greater influence over the situations they face, making their decisions carry real consequences during operations. Instead of passively completing objectives, the player actively shapes how events unfold through their choice of tools, strategy, and actions in the moment.
