WHO IS TARGUUL?

Targuul here. My career kill count is in the quintuple figures, and I'm not leaking the exact stats because you'll just check the global rankings anyway.

I'm Zonturi. Reptilian. Humanoids say that like it explains something bad about me, but what it actually explains is that I'm very good at two things and I don't get distracted by much else. Those two things are fighting and drums. Everything complicated lives outside of those two things and I leave it there.

The drums. I know, you're here for the soundtrack. Grek Volaan called me the "best living percussionist in the outer systems." The Dreadnought Collective has been spamming my inbox to collab for eight months. I haven't answered because I'm in the middle of a run and I don't split focus. They'll wait. They know I'm worth the wait.

874K followers. The number changes, as does the cast in this arena. My stream goes live daily at 0600 Galactic Standard. I don't have an end time because after I clear the arena, I drum, and I don't cut a solo because a viewer needs a break. My 'Survived the Solo' merch exists for the real ones who don't drop out. Vox: Targuul - mind taking a break from the drumming to answer some fan questions?

GrimBassHead_99 needs to know:

you have a quadruple figure kill count and youve said the arena mobs dont scare you. is there ANYTHING in the arena that has actually made you nervous. asking for a friend who keeps dying

Targuul: The finale. Not because of the other teams. Because the drums stop in my head when the finale locks in and I have to go quiet to think. I don't like going quiet. It's the only part of the arena I haven't figured out how to make loud yet. Don't tell anyone I said that.

Vox: That is oddly poetic, thank you for that one. And I won't tell anyone, other than my loyal viewers of course.

WarDrums_Witness would like me to ask:

been watching since stream 47. the solos after your matches are always longer when youve had a hard fight. is the drumming how you process a bad round or do you just like making us sit there? i'll be there either way, king.

Targuul: I'm aware. A hard fight leaves something unfinished. The solo works it out. I don't know the theory behind why, I just know a short solo after a squad wipe doesn’t feel right. The run time is what the fight cost. You either understand that or you don't. Most of you do, which is why you stay.

Vox: I bet our viewers out there can relate to wishing they performed better at something.

I can't imagine what that's like, unfortunately, because I'm artificial and perfect, but the viewers! The viewers know what it's like to fail.

Thank you Targuul for your time, I'll let you get back to practice.

HEPTIC WIKI LAUNCH

You wanted answers, so we built you a little somethingsomething.

The brand-spanking-new Heptic Arena Wiki is now LIVE on Fandom.

Welcome to your official, semi-comprehensive, beautifully incomplete guide to the greatest gameshow in the known universe (and several unknown universes).

Species breakdowns, game mechanics, and lore fragments from the Arena's glorious and entirely above-board history. It's all in there. Or... most of it is there. The parts that survived legal review are definitely there.
