Steam Next Fest is over. Thank you to everyone who set foot in the dungeon.

Next Fest Recap

Since the Demo went live for Next Fest, we’ve received a lot of love and support. Thank you.

According to the data Steam shared today, Goblin Vyke gained 7,000+ wishlists during the event.

Now, total wishlists have passed 45K, and the Demo has been downloaded more than 60K times. For a small indie team, these numbers are beyond what we expected. Thank you.

Next Fest may be over, but the Demo stays available. We’re still tuning and improving the game based on your feedback.

Community FAQ

We’ve seen the same questions come up a lot during Next Fest. Here are the answers:

Q: When does the full game release?

The full game is planned for Q2 2026. We’ll announce the exact release date within the next month. The full Thief Tycoon experience is almost here.

Q: Is the art AI-generated?

During early development, we used AI to generate character images as placeholders as our artist took her time drawing the final artwork. All of those placehodlers were fully replaced by December 2025.

Every character you see in the game today is hand-drawn by human.

We did post a declaration on the store page before December 2025 and took it off as we updated the demo with hand-drawn artwork. Sorry for any confusion.

Q: How big is the team?

We’re a small indie team. We started with 3 people and are now 4.

Development began in late 2024; the Demo launched in July 2025. We’d rather let the game speak for itself than lean on our story. We want to repay your support with the game’s quality.

Q: Will Demo saves carry over to the full game?

Demo saves will not carry over to the full game. We sincerely apologize for this—the sheer number of skilled Thief Tycoons out there has pushed our Demo's numbers completely out of balance. Inheriting saves would significantly impact the experience of later levels, progression, and story. Thank you for your understanding.

If you haven’t tried the Demo yet, it’s still free to play.

If you have, we’d love to hear from you—in our Discord. Whether it’s bugs, balance, or ideas for improvement, we read everything. A positive review on the Demo page would also mean a lot and help us keep going.

And if you haven’t already, adding Goblin Vyke to your Steam wishlist helps us a great deal.

See you, little goblins.
