Hello, future Galactic Magnates!
We’ve been working hard behind the scenes on Galactic Economy, and we have some exciting updates to share as we wrap up the year. We are officially nearing our first full playable Alpha version! Our main focus lately has been the "flow" of the game. We want managing a galactic empire to feel snappy, intuitive, and—most importantly—financially rewarding.
What’s New in the Alpha Build?
While we are still polishing the visuals, the core systems are now fully operational:
The Core Loop: Dice movement and sector interactions are locked in.
Empire Expansion: You can now acquire and deploy Space Station cards to claim your territory.
Financial Strategy: We’ve implemented the Loan System. Managing debt and interest is the heart of your cashflow strategy.
- The LedgerA new player dashboard to help you keep track of your assets, liabilities, and net income at a glance.
Art & Development Progress
Our artists are currently redesigning the card layouts (both front and back) to make the data easier to read. We are also working on better visualization for trade routes and ship landing animations to bring the board to life.
We are still refining the Upgrade System. We’re deciding between modular slots for deep customization or streamlined class upgrades for faster play. We want the UI to be clean so your "Cashflow" is always the star of the show.
