It's now possible to zoom into the canvas for more fine detail work. To zoom hold ALT on the keyboard and use the mouse scroll wheel. Alternatively hold ALT and press the [ or ] keys. When zoomed in you can use the arrow keys, or hold the cursor on the edge of the screen to move the view around.
