Hi everyone,
I’m Soong, the developer of Deckbane. I am excited to announce that the game will officially launch on Steam on April 16th, 2026.
Creating Deckbane has been a personal journey of growth for me. Despite my engineering background, this project allowed me to quiet my mind, pick up the brush, and reconnect with my childhood passion for drawing. This "handcrafted" feel—perhaps raw, yet fueled by genuine enthusiasm—is what I am most eager to share with you through this work. During the creative process, I drew significant inspiration from Wildfrost and Balatro, for which I am deeply grateful.
Compared to the DEMO, the full version features several key gameplay adjustments:
Evolution of Treasure Cards: Treasures are no longer limited to passive slot deployments; they can now be played directly to trigger powerful active skills.
- Redesigned Discard SystemDiscards no longer replenish every turn. Instead, you are granted a fixed number of Discards at the start of each battle. Use them wisely—once they are exhausted, your options will be limited.
- New "Skip Turn" MechanicYou can now choose to skip your turn in exchange for a Discard, adding a new layer of tactical flexibility.
