Deck of Harvest officially launched in Early Access on Steam on April 28, 2026. During our first week after launch, we were incredibly grateful to see so much enthusiasm and support from the community, and we also received a lot of valuable feedback. Our team would like to sincerely thank every player who purchased the game, followed its development, and shared their thoughts with us.
Alongside the excitement of launch, we also recognize that the current version still has room for improvement. In the interest of transparent communication, we’d like to use this update to share a summary of the main known issues, as well as our upcoming fix plans and optimization priorities.
Known Issues
Since the Early Access launch, we’ve received a great deal of feedback and suggestions from players. Our team has reviewed and investigated these reports as quickly as possible, and the following issues have already been fixed in recent patches:
Fixed an issue where the harvest results of certain crops could be lost after saving and loading.
Fixed an issue where some crops that instantly matured did not correctly switch to their mature artwork.
Fixed an issue where Emmer Wheat could occasionally fail to be harvested immediately when planted on Wetland.
Fixed an issue where Agricultural Drone granted an incorrect harvest count when drawn.
Fixed an issue where the Vegetable Farmer could not properly unlock higher difficulty levels after clearing Difficulty 0.
Fixed an issue in higher difficulty boss stages where the treasure Life-Saving Hair did not function correctly.
Fixed an issue where clicking pause while entering the shop caused the pause menu UI to scale abnormally.
Error “Could not find the WebView2 runtime” means the WebView2 component is missing. Download and install the “Evergreen Standalone Installer” from Microsoft (https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-edge/webview2/), then restart your PC.
We sincerely apologize for the impact these issues had on the experience for some players. We’re also very thankful to everyone who shared detailed reports in the comments, discussions, and feedback channels. Your feedback has helped us locate and resolve problems much more quickly.
Upcoming Fixes and Improvements
In addition to the fixes already implemented, we’re continuing to improve the Early Access build and work on future content updates based on your feedback. Over the coming period, we’ll be focusing on the following areas:
Adding special-mechanic bosses to earlier seasons Some of the earlier stages currently don’t offer enough variation or challenge. In future updates, we plan to introduce bosses with unique mechanics earlier in a run, so each farming journey can reach meaningful strategic decision-making sooner.
Adjusting treasure spawn rules We want every run to offer a more distinct build experience. To achieve that, we’ll continue adjusting how treasures appear and refresh, so players can encounter more variety across different builds and enjoy more interesting choices in each playthrough.
Adding a shop lock feature To make shop choices more strategic, we plan to add a shop lock feature. This will allow players to keep part of the current shop inventory for future turns, giving more room to plan purchases and builds. In future updates, we’ll also introduce brand-new scenes, bringing a fresh experience to each run.
In addition, Deck of Harvest will be participating in Steam’s Deckbuilding Fest on May 5, 2026. We’d really appreciate your support, and we’d also love it if you recommend the game to friends who enjoy deckbuilders and farming-themed games.
Final Notes
As an indie game developed by a student team, Deck of Harvest is built on our love for strategy games and farming themes.
