Hi everyone!
We’re Carbonara Games, a small team of three indie developers from Oslo, Norway, and we’re excited to finally share that our passion project - a creepy game about farming, of all things - has officially come to life! You can now wishlist Crop on Steam and follow our page for more updates, which will be shared soon in the form of dev updates in the Community Hub.
This project started as our shared dream to carve out our own corner within a genre we love - taking its familiar core and wrapping it in surreal dread, thriller tension, and an eerie atmosphere that farming games have never quite ventured into. We feel incredibly fortunate to also announce that we are partnering with 11 bit studios, who are our official publisher.

🌱 What is Crop about?
Bound to a dying farm, you must dig, plant, irrigate, and harvest your way through decay. Uncover buried secrets, both in the soil and quietly unfolding within the village. The only way forward is through the harvest.
The game combines methodical, high-stakes farming with a slow-burning investigative thriller. Confined to a fading homestead, you are responsible for feeding a village on the brink of starvation. Master the routine, or succumb to the rot.

🌱 Evil within
You didn’t inherit this land; the land claimed you. Now the farm is your reality, and how you organize it is your only remaining freedom. With a desperate town relying on your yield, careful planning is essential. Dig trenches, install pumps, and repair deteriorating equipment to extract every bit of life from the soil.

🌱 Dig for Answers
Your responsibilities go beyond farming. Why were you brought here? Why is the town isolated from the world? And who is watching from the shadows as night falls? Investigation is just as important as irrigation. Balance your work in the fields with the search for answers. Every harvest may give the townsfolk another day of survival, but every secret you uncover brings you closer to the truth.
