Choppy Waves Demo Page Is Now Live

The demo for Choppy Waves now has its own Steam page.

We are preparing to launch the demo from May 18 to May 25, 2026. Before the waves hit, you can visit the demo page, share it with friends, and get ready for some very questionable bar work on the open ocean.

What is Choppy Waves?

Choppy Waves is an online co-op party game for up to 4 players where you run a floating bar on the open ocean. Take orders, mix drinks, serve guests, and try to stay on your feet while the yacht rocks through rough water. The better your team works together, the faster the drinks get served. The worse the waves get, the more likely everyone ends up sliding across the deck at the worst possible moment.

What will be in the demo?

The demo is an early playable look at the core Choppy Waves experience:

• Play solo or online co-op with up to 4 players

• Join through matchmaking or direct friend invite

• Serve guests on a work-in-progress yacht level

• Take orders, mix drinks, and deliver them before guests leave

• Create proper drinks or accidentally produce junk with the wrong ingredients

• Deal with wave-based deck movement that pushes players and guests around

• Use proximity voice chat to coordinate, panic, or blame the ocean

The ocean is part of the job

The yacht moves. Your friends move. The drink you just made may also move, usually away from where you need it.

Every order is a race against time, but the sea keeps turning simple tasks into messy problems. One player might take orders, another might mix drinks, someone else might deliver, and someone will probably get shoved across the deck by a wave while insisting they had everything under control.

We are planning to make the demo available from May 18 to May 25, 2026.

Help us get ready for launch

Choppy Waves is still in development. We are working on more yacht levels, rougher sea conditions, bar upgrades, waiter progression, and more ways for a floating bar shift to fall apart. The demo will help us test the core loop, collect feedback, and see how much chaos players can handle before the guests give up and leave. Thanks for following the project. The guests are getting thirsty. The ocean is getting worse.
