This is a bigger demo improvement update focused on pacing, interaction, exploration, controller support, bug fixes and giving players a better look at what comes after the intro. The biggest change is that the demo has been extended. Instead of ending shortly after the forest intro section the demo now continues further and reaches a new cemetery scene. This gives a stronger impression of the atmosphere, exploration and direction of the full game.

You should be able to hit continue if you've played before and you want to skip to where you previously ended the game.

Changes:

Completely redone every clerk voice line to better match the intended creepy tone and keep the quality more consistent across the scene.

Added more content to the store PC, including another clerk rap variant.

Changed the store jump scare so it triggers more naturally and lands with stronger impact.

Improved the falling lamp scare with camera control and stronger presentation.

Added on screen instructions for the toilet interaction.

Added on screen instructions for zooming and honking inside the camper.

Moved the camper slightly further along the road to prevent clipping when spawning in.

Added a fade out for the first transition between scenes.

Adjusted loading screen behavior to avoid unnecessary loading screen delays when the system can load instantly.

Added a demo version counter to the pause menu.

Prevented repeated spam interaction on the tent opening.

Fixed a bug where playing with controller and then switching to mouse could stop the mouse cursor from appearing.

Fixed a bug where exiting a tutorial widget with controller could soft lock the player.

Fixed controller support for skipping narration scenes.

Fixed the computer's text instructions for exiting with controller.

Lowered in vehicle camera sensitivity so it better matches the normal player camera sensitivity.

Adjusted the sensitivity setting so it can go down to 0.1 instead of stopping at 1.

Fixed dialogue response input so changed interaction keybinds are respected instead of using a hard coded default interaction key.

Fixed NPC dialogue responses so using the same interact button no longer causes an infinite interaction loop.

Changed note exit controls to better match the pause menu and interaction controls.

Fixed a fuel loading issue where reloading a checkpoint after fueling the camper could incorrectly reset the fuel state.

Falling into the ravine in the forest now unequips held items to avoid audio clipping.

Death now disables player ticking to avoid unwanted behavior after dying.

Removed the clear hand tooltip from the bottom of the backpack item display to reduce UI clutter.

Lowered the default main menu music volume.

Improved tree LOD popping by adjusting lower LOD tree colors to better match the full LOD trees.

Fixed a sign texture issue where “gas” had an incorrect extra letter.

Reworked Yellow Shithead arcade game into Cosmic Shithead with a full reskin and gameplay improvements.

Reduced the intensity of frog's idle audio in the forest.

Extended the opening demo warning duration for better readability.
