Hey everyone!

I’m excited to announce that Level Fun is finally out! This new procedural level was really fun to work on, and I hope you’ll enjoy exploring it as much as I enjoyed creating it. As always, feel free to report any bugs or share your feedback, it helps a lot!

🛠️ Fixes

  • Items are now correctly dropped on death.

  • Fixed a soft lock in the Prison level if you were killed by the Guard.

  • Fixed hearing your own voice when entering the audio options and also in spectator mode.

✨ Quality of Life Improvements

  • When picking up an item, it will now automatically equip itself into an empty available slot.

  • Fixed an annoying shadow that appeared when crouching with the flashlight.

  • Interactions that require specific items (like keycards, valves, etc.) will now automatically detect if the needed item is in your inventory, instead of forcing you to equip it manually.

  • Reduced stamina cost when jumping and sprinting.

🗺️ Roadmap

🔧 Bug Fixing & Level Reworks

I’ll be focusing on various bug fixes, optimizations, and reworks on some of the existing levels, mainly Infinite Garden, Suburbs, and Infinite Supermarket. The goal is to bring these maps closer to the spirit of the two latest ones, Prison and Level Fun, which are shorter, more focused, and offer more engaging gameplay.

🏃 Complete Rework of Escape Mode

After that, I’ll be working on a full rework of the Escape Mode. My plan is to move toward fully procedural level generation combined with a rotation of different Backrooms levels within each session and more entities. This mode might end up feeling a bit like a Lethal Company–style experience, but nothing is fully set in stone yet.

🕶️ VR Mode for multiplayer

And finally… VR Mode is planned! I’m really looking forward to bringing the multiplayer mode into VR and giving you an entirely new way to experience the Backrooms.
