In the past week we fixed over 60 bugs and added various new features to improve Athena Crisis and make it more stable and more enjoyable for everyone! We'll add more features to make Athena Crisis even more fun in the future.

New:

  • Notification Feed: All in-game notifications are now displayed in a notification feed which you can access from the bell icon on the right top of the main menu.

  • Notification TypesYou now receive notifications when you receive chaos stars (through invasions or message likes), and when a game ends. These notifications are also available as push notifications, and you can control them individually through the push notification settings.
  • AI: The AI can now effectively use Medics and Support Ships to heal adjacent units. They will prioritize units related to objectives. Thanks to @iudiciis for implementing this feature!

  • FilterAdded a "fog" tag to community filters.

Fixed:

  • Fixed an issue where in fog the fuel of an opponent's unit was not updated to "0" after a move.

  • When a building in fog was destroyed, the stats are now correctly updated to count defeated units that were on that building.

  • Fixed an issue with validating units as part of a spawn effect.

  • Fixed a major bug related to fog desyncs. The game should now be significantly more stable in fog.

  • Correctly count stats when a unit defeats itself through a power.

  • Fixed a few bugs when using High Tide.

  • Units on buildings that don't counter attack were accidentally counted as defeated.

  • Fix a bug in dealt damage stats when applying a power.

  • Fixed a bug where funds or charges could be non-integers.

  • Filter invalid buildings from SpawnEffect properly.

  • Poisoned units that heal at the begin turn are not counted as defeated.

  • Fixed a bug where AI could be invoked even though a game has ended.

  • Fixed movement cost and fuel calculation when a unit gets blocked in fog.

  • Do not allow toggling lightning outside of the map.

  • During a fog invasion, when a new user spawns in but all their units and buildings are hiding in fog, the user was sometimes immediately grayed out in the player cards. This issue was resolved.

  • Push notifications should now go directly to the correct game; fixed push notifications for started games.

  • There were minor race conditions when canceling an invasion attempt that might not have correctly returned the crystal. This bug was previously reported, and is now fixed.

  • On iOS 26, the (i) in the create unit dialog was too big.

  • Browser back/forward navigation works better on the map list and user profiles.

  • Fixed map depth calculation for diamond shaped campaigns.

  • There were some situations that allowed users to create invalid maps.

  • The undo alert would sometimes not show up despite users not having selected "Do not show this again".

  • Fixed a few issues with enabling/disabling/deleting push notifications.

  • On campaign maps with objectives that were used in a campaign, the map editor accidentally allowed users to delete objectives that were used in the campaign.

  • Fixed an issue with keyboard/gamepad navigation for players with more than 6 active games where it's their turn.

  • Fixed the link to local active games on the main menu.

  • Fixed issues around local games and uploading offline maps in the map editor.

  • Undo in local games was sometimes not shown as available to players.

  • Fixed a bug in keyboard/gamepad navigation when creating a new game.

  • When an invasion game ends, the animations for spectators and non-campaign players now play out fully before advancing to the next screen regardless of whether the campaign
